About the Lulubird Project
The Lulubird Project is a collective dedicated to questioning norms, rules, and conventions via thought-provoking theatrical art that is imaginative, inventive, and (like life) slightly absurd. We are a resident company at Theater 29 in Denver, Colorado.
Our first absurd bird, The Mrs. Wheatland Pageant by Lisa Wagner Erickson, took flight February 28, 2019 at Theater 29 and ran for 9 nights. Each evening of The Mrs. Wheatland Pageant with a “Short,” presenting a 10-minute reading from a new work by a local playwright. A different playwright was featured each night.
